Our daily … MEATmeat

“People eat meat and think they will become strong as an ox, forgetting that the ox eats grass.” Pino Caruso

I will never forget the day of 26th of December, the 2nd day of Christmas, St. Stephen, my grandmother’s birthday, the opportunity to meet with my family: grandparents, moms, dads, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and other relatives. What a day! What a holiday! How fun! What preparations! What goodies! What a feast worthy of praise!

You could find on the table everything you wanted, white bread, salami, smoked meat, sausages, cheese, fries, jelly , egg salad, liver pate, roast pork fried, baked pork, rind – my favorite, breaded chicken, meat rolled in cabbage, brine fish, sausage, all prepared with a lot of sweat and pleasure by my grandparents. A meal to die for! At least this is what I thought at that time and I’m not sorry, because I have so many nice memories from that period of time.

Meanwhile, I grew up and I changed my mind … for good! The “change my mind stuff” was hard for me, really hard, it was made with small steps, one step forward and about seven backwards and so on until I learned to dance to the rhythm of seven steps forward and one backwards. For me it was difficult to detach myself from everything I learned in childhood, including eating meat, this was a process that took about 2-3 years, but for me, it was worth it!

Why the hell I changed my mind? Why this stories with my family and delicious meals, right?

deforestation and lungs

Well …  because I found out the following:

ü   Meat and dairy industry contributes to massive destruction of the environment through: big increase in methane emissions (due to livestock) which is a huge factor in global warming, massive deforestation for planting of grains to feed animals seriously multiplied by artificial means, deforestation for grazing. By deforestation, we are gradually destroying the climate, we are decreasing the oxygen levels by diminishing the forest area which counterbalances CO2 and we are losing lots of wildlife species due to their habitat destruction. Rain and wind create landslides and soil erosions due to deforestation, etc. (please check: documentary – “MEAT THE TRUTH”)

ü   Due to uncontrolled breeding of animals, 1 billion people are malnourished and don’t have food to put on the table, because 80% of the world’s grains are  served as feed for this animals, again, artificially multiplied, instead of feeding people for example. At the other pole, 1 billion people are obese …

ü  To produce 1 kg of meat, you need 7 kg of grains. Where is it effectiveness?

ü  Animal feces produce more greenhouse gases than all the cars, trucks and planes in the world.

ü   In the place of old forests we plant grains for animals to eat, that are sprayed with pesticides and all sorts of chemicals designed to “protect from diseases and pests” and then the grains are served as feed for the poor animals next to daily injections with hormones and antibiotics.

ü  The antibiotics and hormones that are given to the animals and also the pesticides and chemicals that are sprinkled in their food, get in the finish product, which is: MEAT. And here … directly to our plate, making a disaster in our body.

ü   Because of the antibiotics administered daily in our food, we risk creating bacteria so strong that no antibiotic in the world can stop it.

ü  Meat removes calcium from the body, it is very acid (our body has a slightly alkaline PH), increases cholesterol and contains huge amounts of adrenaline, which causes feelings of anger and depression, while weakening the adrenals.

ü  Meat is incriminated in the development of cancer, inflammation, hormonal disorders, auto-immune diseases, acidosis, periodontitis, weakened immune system, digestive disorders, allergies, skin diseases, etc. (please check:  The China Study – Dr. Collin Cambpell)

ü  Meat digestion is very complicated for the human body and it’s contributing to massive loss of energy in the process of digestion and with time, internal organs get exhausted.

ü  The animals are kept in appalling conditions, are beaten, raped, castrated without anesthesia, they don’t see daylight, are fattened by force, are not breathing fresh air, not running, not enjoying life at all, are oppressed and mistreated without compassion and are regarded as “food”. After that, they are killed in mass, without mercy in a dehumanizing process that embarrasses human species. (I recommend watching Gary’s  Yurofsky speech – found on YouTube)

ü   There is no essential nutrient found in meat, necessary for human survival, which cannot be found in food of plant origin, on the contrary! What animals eat? Plant based food, right?

ü  The taste of the meat is given by the spices and cooking methods. Unseasoned and uncooked meat tastes not so pleasant for us humans.

ü   Mistreatment and killing of animals by humans is meaningless, cruel and is an act of barbarism.

I want to remind you that the above information can be verified in the books and in the documentaries mentioned in this initial post: VEGETARIAN or OMNIVORE? … WHAT?! – (PART I)”

link: https://www.dearfruitsmile.com/plant-based-living/vegetarian-or-omnivore-part-one/, as well as in many other available sources of information, they are a lot… thank God!

First of all let’s look for information inside of us and then we can search elsewhere as well. Intuition never betrays us. Things and information by themselves, unchecked and unverified, as well as traditional education, “brainwashing” by the media and the herd effect can seriously damage our health, the environment and those around us.

“A dead cow or sheep lying in a pasture is recognized as carrion. The same sort of carcass dressed and hung up in a butchers stall passes as food.”                  —J.H.Kellogg

    Thank you for this article!
Anything was really new for me except one thing! I finally found why I felt so peaceful and happy since I stopped eating meat: adrenaline. Thank you so much for this information, I can now explain my friends and family the REAL benefits of this lifestyle.

„Pentru a produce 1 kg de carne, avem nevoie de 7 kg de grane. Unde este eficienta in asta?”

      valori/100 g:
      Carne vita:
      calorii: 250
      grasimi: 17%
      colesterol: 86 mg
      carbohidrati: 0 g
      fibre: 0 g
      Fier 16% din DZR
      Calciu: 1% din DZR

      Grau integral
      calorii: 339
      grasimi: 3%
      colesterol: 0 mg
      carbohidrati:73 g
      fibre: 12 g
